Marla "No Stress" Hollenquest has over 30 years of quality management experience in manufacturing and has successfully participated in over 500 audits as both auditor and auditee. Her current record is 285-0.
She earned a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Colorado State University and accepted a position as a production supervisor at Ford Motor Company’s Dearborn Stamping Plant right after graduation. Her first introduction to the ISO standards occurred in 1992 with QS-9000 (now known as IATF 16949), which is a tough automotive quality management system certification. She learned and developed a deep interest in quality management systems by shadowing an experienced consultant and auditor for three months which laid the foundation for her future career endeavors.
After 3 decades in quality management leadership in the automotive, aerospace and medical device industries, Marla transferred her knowledge and experience to consulting and internal auditing with the purpose of making the certification process simple and effective for manufacturing and service-oriented organizations.
Marla has successfully developed quality management systems compliant to ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and cGMP as a lead auditor. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMI), Certified Configuration Manager (NDIA), Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ), and Certified Quality Manager (ASQ). Marla’s expertise includes lean manufacturing principles, Kaizen, 5S, process improvement, disciplined problem solving, advanced product quality planning, and team building.
Marla is also a founding member of the Divas on Course Golf Club and manages two culinary garden plots at the San Miguel Community Garden.
